Global Healthy Hospital Food Network: Launch Event by PAN International - Physicians Association for Nutrition
The Global Healthy Hospital Food Network is an initiative aimed at transforming hospital food services worldwide to prioritize health and sustainability. This network recognizes that hospitals, as centers of health and healing, have a responsibility to model and provide nutritious food options that promote patient recovery and overall well-being. By collaborating with healthcare providers, nutritionists, and culinary experts, the network strives to reduce unhealthy food options and increase the availability of fresh, locally sourced, and plant-based meals. This shift not only benefits patients but also supports hospital staff and visitors, fostering a culture of health within the healthcare environment. The network is a collaborative effort between our organisations (Physicians Association International, ProVeg International, Greener By Default, Plant-Based Health Professionals UK) across the US, EU and UK.
